As the amount of talent show programs hit the screen accumulates to a degree,it is self-evident that TV programs of this kind start to grow on people at home and abroad.This eccentric phenomenon puts forward a question that how these plain displays of talent and skill could gain such a soaring popularity at short notice.
Basically, the trend towards talent show programs is formed under the influence of the masses and media together. Reality is the most eye-catching point,compared with the usual fictional part appeared on TV .What indeed have a strong appeal to the audience is curiosity,a latent characteristic in humanbeing. Other reasons involving unique feelings on the spot,fierce competions and participatory relationships pull them more close to the potential audience.On media’s part,interest comes first as bussiness organizations.Therefore,aiming at a high audience rating,they will spare no efforts to explore new and attractive fields.As a result,the current situation arose.
The talent show programs ,originating overseas,were introduced into the Interior as a significant breakthrough in Chinese traditional aesthetics.However,some of the televiews are driven by the hideous side of curiosity,the inclination of prying into others’s private life.Accordingly,the media tend to add some unhealthy elements of violence and pornography into the programs.As far as I am concerned,the unavoidable divergence between two cultures will delay the natural boom of talent show programs.（作者：08英語(yǔ)3班 李詩(shī)月）
